SO.
I had a shit birthday. My mother completely ruined it. I’ve had enough, so I’ve moved out and I’m living with my Dad back in sunny St. Albans. I feel really really happy. It’s made me realise that living in Dunstable completely just dragged me down. I was getting very depressed and low living there. Not just because it’s not my desired place to live, but because I knew no one, no one was giving me a job and it’s just a very run down town. My Mum likes living there which is cool and it’s up to her - but I don’t.
On Monday and Tuesday I did some unpaid costume work on a J2O advert. I didn’t mind that it was unpaid as I made a few really good contacts in London and they are keen to hire me again as a paid costume assistant. Also commercials are where all the money is in the industry.
I now have a full time job in the cafe that I used to work in from the age of 16-19. I know it’s a cafe, but I need money and I’d rather do a job that involved actually do stuff, rather than sitting at a computer all day inputting data. Mind numbing.
Living with my Dad is also really cool. He understands what I’m trying to do with my life and is being very supportive. I hope it works out and I don’t piss him off too much. This also means I can see my other sisters, brothers. nieces and nephews more often which is wicked! (I haven’t said or typed ‘wicked’ for years…) I’m also closer to town so I can see my freidns more often too.
I’ll work things out with my Mum eventually and I know that she will make it difficult. But that’s just the type of person she is. It’s sad really as she is pushing all her children away and she’ll become very lonely, very fast. Let’s hope this doesn’t happen.
Anyway, I might go visit my sister and brother-in-law now as they’re only down the road. Bonus!x
